I dont fuck with mod motors, to me they will never match the power of a pushrod...and anybody that knows about engines will agree with me. That being said they are very impressive motors, and do alot considering there shortcomings (mainly piston size). peters mustang was running 9 seconds flat in a 4000lb car (full interior, a/c, and power steering) way before most people were even running the new body styles. also the car is coming out real soon with alot of changes and alot more power, would like to see you guys line it up. and no offense to your shop but i have been racing in miami for 20 years and ive never heard of you. I didnt bash anybodies shop, so for you to come on here and take shots at dpm is very unprofessional for a shop owner. again i an care less i went away from building engines years ago, and decided just to do cages, chassis, and suspension so it doesnt affect me either way. just recommending peter as he has done alot with these motors, as i am sure you do great work as well.

Never bashed him saying we beat up on him at the track is a fact... LOL! Peter builds some good shit. You probable haven't heard of us because I just opened the doors 2 years ago, but I have been in the scene for 17 years between South Florida and South Jersey/Philly! I hope he brings that bad boy back out with more power! I would be happy to line any one of our cars up against his! Including my lil' Turbo 363... I'm a pushrod guy myself! However, we build what people want and right now Mod Motors are taking over the streets! At the track Pushrod is king, for now! Well put...my blood is blue, thru and thru! only one thing we disagree on>>>mod motors will never be king, but will definitely be contenders! you know as well as i there is no replacement for displacement, so until ford doesnt build a magical mod motor with a 4.125 or better piston it will always be just an awesome street motor that can perform well at the track also.

I agree, but these new 5.0s are nasty! They figured out a technology in the 4V head that is making some serious power! I love my pushrod nothing in the world has the torque she does or the sound so as far as I'm concerned thats what the heart of my baby will always hold. However, just from a shop owner standpoint... Right now I have (1) 2V Mustang Turbo engine build, (2) 4V Cobra Turbo Engine Builds, (2) 3V 05+ GT Turbo builds one super nasty with basically everything we can do to it being done, and (1) 347 Pushrod Nitrous build... and we're working on my 363 Turbo bitch. So just based on the number of engines we build right now the Mod motor is 4-1 over the Pushrods the young guys who grew up with the 4.6 love it like we love our old 302s & 351s!!!
